How to cook and enjoy Kale…
The biggest obstacle when it comes to encouraging people to eat kale is how to prepare it! The leaves and stems are a lot thicker and coarser than your regular silverbeet so they don’t break down quite as easily. And even when cooked, kale has a tougher consistency than spinach. Flavour wise though, kale does not have an overpowering taste of any kind, just a rich, earthy green flavour!

Spiced Kale Chips

Over the weekend I was craving a snack which was warm yet satisfying and a little bit salty. I had this bunch of kale in my fridge which was starting to look a little wilted, so decided to turn it into some funky baked kale chips, yummo! These are so easy to make and also the perfect healthy snack when you’re feeling like something a bit naughty…

Cut the bunch of kale into strips.
Place in baking tray with a spray of oil, salt, turmeric and paprika.
Bake in oven on high heat for about 15-20mins until crisp.
Enjoy immediately!
